In 2017 I met Paddy Keenan, an Irish traveller who lived in a small trailerpark in Finglas at the outer edge of Dublin, Ireland.
Over the course of eight years I got to know Paddy and his family very well, became a close friend to many of them and photographed the family until Paddy’s death in early 2024.
This visual diary of my time spent with the Keenans is not so much about the Irish Traveller culture as it is about becoming part of a family that’s very different from your own.
